Vintage 1960s 60s Swiss army military large petrol canister petroleum rucksack backpack leather canvas drawstring metal base camping logs

A Swiss army khaki green cotton canvas and leather rucksack, dated 1969. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, machine repair at the back left, scuffs and scrapes to the leather - please see photos. A large Swiss army rucksack originally used for carrying petroleum heaters, metal base inside, thick leather base outside, rope tie closure for quick and easy access, adjustable webbing shoulder straps, tough cotton canvas body, white print at the front towards the base, excellent quality, very sturdily made, could be used for camping or outdoors gear, a log or foraging bag, weighs a little over 2.5kg. Fully opened, it measures H30” x W17” x D11.5”
