A purplish-brown horsehide leather car coat by Lou Foster dating from the early-mid 1950s. Noted flaws - some damage to the lining at the collar, missing one of f the decorative left cuff buttons, missing the original button-on belt which would have fastened at the front, some wear and damage at the shoulder tops - please see photos. Lovely deep colour, fully lined in quilted acid-gold satin, elasticated back belt still has stretch, inner knitted storm cuffs, original Conmar zipper runs smoothly, supple horsehide leather, two hand pockets, great style.
