Vintage 1940S 40s 1950s 50s JC Higgins red black buffalo plaid wool checked jacket 48” chest hunting mackinaw

A red and black buffalo plaid wool hunting jacket by Sears & Roebuck’s JC Higgins line, dating from the late 1940s or early 1950s. Noted flaws - missing the uppermost button, mismatched buttons, some fraying at the lining inside the collar and cuffs, some surface damage on the centre back - please see photos. Thick wool, lined in tan brown flannel, single chest pocket, two sets of hand pockets, pocket bags are all intact, classic unisex style, excellent quality, just under 2kg. Measurements taken lying flat - Pit to pit - 24” (48” doubled) Shoulders - 19.5” Arms - 24.5” Length - 31” Please check your measurements carefully!
