Vintage 1930s 30s Belle Jardiniere French indigo blue wool fireman’s jacket sapeurs pompiers 41” chest

A French thick, deep blue wool fireman’s jacket by the tailors Belle Jardiniere, dating from the 1930s. Noted flaws - missing the lowermost main button, some minor marking and uneven colour to the cotton lining, some surface damage at the red cuff badges - please see photos. Excellent condition otherwise, great label, thick, supple wool, lapel badges in velvet, lightly structured shoulders, two chest pockets, two hand pockets, single vent at the back, beautifully made by a much sought-after French label. Measurements taken lying flat - Pit to pit - 20.5” (41” doubled) Shoulders - 17” Arms - 22” Length - 27.5” Please check your measurements carefully!
