A plain red wool dress shirt by classic US brand Pendleton, dating from the late 1930s or early 1940s. Noted flaws - a number of small holes throughout - please see photos. I haven't found much info about this specific label, and it's not one that I've seen before; I'd assume that Pendleton must have had concessions in the old Abercrombie and Fitch department stores and this shirt was from there (please correct me if you know otherwise!) The shape of the collars, button style and tail shape are indicative of the late 1930s or early 1940s. Great condition otherwise, hand sewn-in label, finely woven wool, wing tip collars, full set of original buttons, classic Pendleton shirt, two chest pockets, supple fabric, made in USA, rare label.
