A brown leather women’s British ATS military jerkin, dating from the early/mid 1940s. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, scuffs and scrapes to the leather throughout, some white spot marks throughout the lower back, a couple of small holes in the lining, missing the original contract tag, some nicks at the lower right back, the buttons have been resewn by a previous owner - please see photos. Excellent condition otherwise, rarely-seen women's version of the classic British battle dress jerkin, originally worn over regular uniforms for warmth, soft and supple leather, wool lining is very good condition with a faint stamp where the contract tag would have been situated, smaller size, suitable for everyone.
