A reproduction red, black blue and yellow embroidered MACV-SOG patch. Noted flaws - ingrained marking throughout, attached to green sateen cotton-type cloth, some surface wear at the lower edge and upper right corner, tear at the back cloth - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, features a stylised crouching tiger, parachute and lightning bolt, an emblem designed for Special Commando Units (SCU). Original production of these patches was between 1970 and 1972 when the unit was officially deactivated and would have been made by local tailors. This reproduction is characterised by the jagged mountain outline and parachute cords and is not an original; it would pass at-a-glance and would make a nice addition to a vintage jacket or shirt.
