A French cotton M47 field jacket, dated 1963. Noted flaws - uneven faded colour throughout, various ingrained marks and small frays throughout, various areas of machine repairs throughout, the pocket buttons at both left hand side pockets are replacements, three of the main placket buttons have been re sewn in contrasting colour thread, pin prick holes and fading from a removed name badge above the right chest pocket, some wear at the cuff edges - please see photos. Herringbone cotton twill, attached shoulder epaulettes, button over cuffs, two button down chest pockets and two hand pockets, drawstring waist inside, storm flap under the collar, solidly well made jacket, great fading, suitable for everyone.
