A set of US Air Force sage green CWU 1/P coveralls by Sandler Brothers Inc., dated 1958. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, various ingrained marks throughout, three cigarette burn holes (two at the front legs, one at the inner back right thigh), the zipper at the left sleeve has lost its pull and is damaged, some wear at the cuff edges, missing one of the right cuff buttons, the main central zipper is a neat replacement - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, all other original Conmar zippers run smoothly, all original press studs present, contract tag in the collar, concealed hood, the waist can be brought in incrementally with buttons, lots of handy pockets, heavyweight Vietnam-era military flight suit, perfect for LARP events, design reference or wearing as is, weighs just over 2kg, suitable for everyone.
These wool-lined flight suits were used during the early Vietnam War era and would have been worn by high altitude pilots, early jet fighter pilots or military transport crews.
