A pair of RAF MK1 cold weather flying trousers, dating from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Noted flaws - some colour transfer marking from the leather loops where they have been stored folded at the waistband and at the outer ankle cuff areas, missing the original braces - please see photos. Excellent condition otherwise, appear to have been only very lightly worn if at all, original cutter’s tag is still attached inside the left ankle cuff, original contract tag in the back is legible, the ventile fabric is supple and in good condition throughout, attached leather loops at the waistband, full set of original buttons, original fly zipper runs smoothly, two straight-through pocket openings at the sides, button up pockets at the lower legs, original drawstrings inside the ankle cuffs, a rarely-seen and collectible piece of mid-century flight gear, generally in excellent condition, suitable for everyone.
