A French tan brown cotton hunt beater’s jacket, dating from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, some minor wear at the collar fold and cuff edges, various ingrained marks throughout, particularly at the lower centre front and lower back right - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, fully lined in green and orange checked cotton, original removable hood, original Eclair zipper runs smoothly, elasticated waist with plenty of stretch, two button down chest pockets, two lower hand pockets, large hand painted B on the back, which signifies a hunt beater’s group (estate employees who would walk ahead of the hunt to drive up birds), excellent quality, suitable for everyone.
