A rich brown cotton canvas and leather medics’ bag with leather shoulder strap from the Swedish army, dating from the early-mid 1940s. Noted flaws - uneven faded colour throughout, various marks and scuffs to the canvas and leather throughout, some surface cracking to the fastening straps, the original Red Cross badge on the front has been replaced with a later version, leaving a series of pin prick holes - please see photos. Excellent condition otherwise, sturdily constructed, all seams are solid, great quality, vinyl Red Cross badge on the front, fastens with two leather straps and buckles, several inner compartments of various sizes, leather strap fastens inside, leather loop at the back which originally would have attached to a wide belt or a larger backpack, adjustable leather shoulder strap is solid, supple and secure, excellent quality, suitable for everyone.
