A red wool Mexican souvenir jacket, dating from the 1940s. Noted flaws - some areas of the white cross stitching at the seam edges has worn away, various small holes and surface wear throughout, particularly at the hem and across the back of the shoulders, marked at the back of the left sleeve, various small marks throughout, discolouration to the white areas, the very edges of the pocket corners have come away - please see photos. Decorative appliqué is in good condition with hand stitched details, soft, supple wool, unlined, great hand appliquéd scenes featuring men and women, flora and houses, two hand pockets, cross stitched along the hems, no front fastenings, great label in the collar, classic, older Mexican souvenir jacket.
