A brown leather women’s British ATS military jerkin, dating from the early/mid 1940s. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, scuffs, nicks and scrapes to the leather throughout, some yellow paint marks at the lower right side area, the third button down is. mismatched replacement, missing the original contract tag, seam splits at the top left shoulder and each armpit, small hole at the back of the lining - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, supple leather, khaki lining is in excellent condition, rarely-seen women's version of the classic British battle dress jerkin, originally worn over regular uniforms for warmth and protection, perfect for LARP events or wearing with other workwear layers, suitable for everyone.
