A Swedish military ‘mattornist’ cotton cross body bag, dating from the 1930s or possibly earlier. Noted flaws - various ingrained marks and signs of use throughout, the two main body buttons are modern replacements stamped with ‘for gentlemen’, the original fabric closure straps shave been replaced with leather, which has dried and is cracking, missing the original inner button-on pocket, original inner zinc buttons have been replaced with bone buttons - please see photos. Lighter-weight woven cotton, adjustable shoulder strap, loop for wearing on a belt, fastens by straps buttoning on to riveted buttons, great stamp.
