A pair of thick linen French army M38 overall trousers, dating from the 1930s. Noted flaws - patchy, uneven colour throughout, machine repair at the base of the fly, missing the buckle tab at the lower right leg, which has left a vertical frayed hole, various ingrained marks throughout, wear and fraying at the ankle cuffs, the fly buttons have been restitched at some point - please see photos. Beaustiful texture, rarely-seen linen example of a sought-after model of French WW2 dispatch rider overalls, faint stamp inside the back waistband, straight-through pockets at each side, all original buttons are intact, double lined at the inner knees, button fly with two patch pockets, non-removable belt, straps at the ankles, wide leg, thick, supple, heavyweight linen, great style, collectible original WW2 overalls, suitable for everyone.
