A French thick, deep blue wool fireman’s jacket by the tailors Belle Jardiniere, dating from the 1930s. Noted flaws - the pocket buttons are a different tone to the main placket buttons, some minor marking and uneven colour to the cotton lining, some surface damage at the centre front - please see photos. Excellent condition otherwise, great label, thick, supple wool, lapel badges in velvet, lightly structured shoulders, two chest pockets, two hand pockets, single vent at the back, beautifully made by a much sought-after French label.
