A khaki green wool US army M1917 overcoat dated 1917. Noted flaws - missing one of the front main buttons (all other buttons are present), extensive areas of surface wear and damage throughout, several holes throughout, small seam split at the centre front seam at the collar, removed patches from both sleeves, leaving pin prick holes and uneven colour, some hand stitching at the left pocket upper seam - please see photos. Good condition otherwise, thoroughly steamed, lined in the shoulders, stamped at the inside collar, contract tag under the lining, thick, supple wool, two hand pockets with original buttons, storm collar, original hook fastening and hang loop at the collar, excellent quality, not in the best condition, but an 107-year old original. Weighs just under 3kg.
