A French herringbone linen bourgeron jacket, dating from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Noted flaws - uneven faded colour throughout, hand repairs throughout, particularly at the lower centre front and cuff areas, various ingrained marks throughout, the buttons appear to be either replacements or have been moved at some point, the pockets have been moved by a previous owner, surface clicks and frays throughout, missing the original pocket buttons - please see photos. Beautifully made, excellent quality, freshly laundered, beautifully supple herringbone linen fabric, beautiful original hand repairs, texture and fading, finely spotted indigo facing under the collar, smaller size, please compare the measurements provided with an item of your own to ensure a good fit.
