A French green corduroy gamekeeper’s jacket, dating from the 1950s. Noted flaws - uneven colour throughout, various ingrained marks throughout particularly at the lapels, areas of surface wear throughout, particularly at the lower front hem area, the second button down is a close-match replacement, areas of damage and wear to the lining - please see photos. Excellent quality, heavyweight, soft, thick and supple corduroy fabric, lined in iridescent green and orange rayon-crepe-type fabric, two chest pockets, two hand pockets, great whisker fading at the sleeves, beautiful colour, bullion wire hunting horn embellishments at the lapels, originally worn by chateaux or estate gamekeepers, suitable for everyone.
